Vidalia Chamber Welcomes New Director
The Vidalia Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Jamie Burley will be taking the position of Chamber Director beginning in July of this year. Jamie comes to us from the Concordia Economic and Industrial Development District, where she has been employed as Executive Assistant Director since January, 2008. During her tenure with CEIDD she formed important relationships with the municipalities and chambers in the area. She brings prior management experience to her new position, as well as grant-writing knowledge and experience (she has already successfully written one grant for the Chamber) and website maintenance skills.
"My goal," she says, "is to help build the area by networking with the other municipalities, and being an arm, so to speak, to the body of Concordia Parish."
Jamie recently submitted her resignation from the Chamber of Commerce Board in order to apply to the Director's position. Nominations are open to the general membership to fill her place on the board.
