The Chamber helps you celebrate your milestones. Not only that, but having the Chamber help you celebrate means photos and articles in the local paper and having our office announce your upcoming event at meetings and in emails to all our members.
The speakers at our monthly meetings offer you insight on local and state politics, the laws that affect your business, tax updates, marketing your business, and other important subjects.
Besides the above mentioned programs, our meetings are a great time to do some networking. Who's your competition? Who among our membership can provide a service that helps you do business?
The Vidalia Chamber meets every 2nd Tuesday of the month at Comfort Suites on the Vidalia RiverFront. Meetings are at Noon. Lunch for members is $10, non-members - $12.
Committees don't just plan out the functions of our Chamber of Commerce. They provide a way for you to be actively involved in your community - something that gives you much needed exposure to potential customers. Being on a committe is one of the best things you can do to further relationships with other members.
A good number of phone calls come to the Chamber of Commerce office each day. These calls come from business people like yourself who want to relocate to Vidalia and from people looking for the services you provide. As a Chamber member, your business gets top priority on our referral list. Bring your brochures, rack cards or business cards to the Chamber office to hand out to folks who drop in to ask questions.
Networking is an important and often under-rated tool in promoting your business. Your Chamber of Commerce offers a multitude of chances to do just that.
Chamber After Hours is a fine example of networking. It's basically a casual meet and greet, sometimes centered around an event like a ribbon cutting, grand opening, or ground-breaking. After Hours gives you the chance to have more relaxed conversations with potential customers and business owners who can provide you with a service. That conversation is often more welcomed than a formal "sales pitch." Be sure to bring along plenty of business cards.
You'll find that networking is also done at monthly meetings, our annual golf scramble, and other Chamber events.
