Vidalia Chamber Teams Up with FarGolf
The Vidalia Chamber of Commerce has teamed up with FarGolf Inc. to provide some real family fun! The new FarGolf Driving Range in Vidalia will host 4 contests:
- Putt-Putt Tournament - Yes, FarGolf has a Putt-Putt Course now. Our tournament will be divided by age group; 4-6years, 7-10years, 11-13years, and 14-and-up. Adults are welcome to play in the 14-and-up category. A trophy will be given to the winner of each category.
- Hole-In-One Contest - This will be for big money! We'll take up to 10 qualifiers who will each try for the $10,000 prize. You'll qualify by landing your ball inside a circle drawn around a flag.
Thanks to KFNV "The River" and 104.7 "The Gator" for sponsoring this contest! - Longest Flatstick Drive - That's right, it's a longest drive contest, but with a putter! We'll provide the putter. The prize will be a brand new putter from FarGolf and Jones Website Services.
- Water Hazard Contest - Instead of avoiding the water, you'll have to aim for it. We'll have 3 kiddie pools set at different distances from the tee. Land in one and get a prize!
The FarGolf Driving Range is on Highway 3180, just across the street from the Fruit of the Loom Distribution Center. Our contest will be held Friday, June 26, starting at 7:30. Proceeds go to the Chamber's Community Development Fund, and to FarGolf's Charities. See More About FarGolf
Let's Bowl!
You know that in July the heat will be unbearable, so why not have some fun inside? We thought that instead of the usual networking event we'd try something that offers friendly competition. Not a pro bowler? That might actually help you win a game!
We've set our event at Rivergate Bowl, Thursday, July 16, starting at 6p.m. We'll play two games, with one being a "Low Score" game. Yes, the lowest scoring team wins that game. (See, I said you wouldn't have to be a pro!)
You've heard of Mulligans on the golf course, but we'll be selling Mulligans at the bowling alley, too! There are more details to be worked out, but we know we'll be limited to 16 teams of 5 players each, so mark your calendar for this fun event, and sign up early to be sure your team gets a spot!
