June Joint Meeting: Vidalia, Ferriday and Natchez Chambers of Commerce
The excitement is really building for this meeting. With all three Chambers attending we're sure to have a crowd, but even more exciting is the prospect of these three cities working together to bring economic and community development to the region. This is a first step to recognizing the need for a Regional philosophy.
The speaker, Ronnie Bryant, President and CEO of the Charlotte Regional Partnership, is nationally known for establishing and implementing successful economic development programs, has been recognized by Site Selection Magazine twice for excellence in economic development, and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette ranked him No. 25 on its list of top 50 business leaders. As a vice-president with the St. Louis Regional Chamber, his strategies were credited with the creation of 117,000 jobs in 5 years!
Charlotte Regional Partnership stresses strength in unity, employing the effective strategy of regionalism for growth and prosperity. Due to Mr. Bryant's schedule and the expected number of attendees, our June meeting will have a different date and location. Vidalia's Conference and Convention Center will play host to all three Chambers June 23, 2009 at 11:30 a.m.. We invite all interested individuals and businesses to attend, whether you are a member of a Chamber or not, and we welcome your comments and questions.
